Food trucks and rock n’ roll. That’s how it’s done at QFM96’s Food Truck Festival, to be held Saturday at the station’s studio, located at 2400 Corporate Exchange Dr.
Returning for its second year, the free festival is the product of a partnership between classic
rock radio station QFM96 and Columbus non-profit The Food Fort.
From 3-9 p.m., rock fans and food connoisseurs can enjoy 16 food vendors, live music and a beer garden sponsored by Crazee Mule Saloon.
The food will range from standard truck offerings at vendors such as The Burrito Bus and OH! Burgers to unique choices from businesses such as the health-focused Kinetic and potato-centric Tatoheads.
The musical lineup will feature rock, soul and blues. Noteworthy Columbus guitarist Willie Phoenix and his band The Soul Underground will headline along with performances by groups such as Breaking Sane and Long Tall Deb and Colin John.
Food trucks and music aren’t the only attractions at the festival though. QFM96 encourages auto enthusiasts to enter their cars in the “bragging rights” classic car competition. A race car display by Muth Roofing will also be part of the festival.
Additionally, attendees can enter to win concert tickets from Dream Seats and QFM96. Face painting by The ScareAtorium and pet adoptions from the Delaware Humane Society will round out the activities.
