CityScene Media Group, premier publisher of magazines in central Ohio, is pleased to welcome Laurie Adams as a new sales director, and Lydia Freudenberg as the brand loyalty specialist.
“It’s always exciting to welcome new employees to CityScene Media Group,” says Kathy Gill, CEO of CMG. “Having a strong sales team is vital for print publications, and Laurie has wonderful experience within that field. We’re also excited to introduce the new title of brand loyalty specialists, which is what Lydia will be undertaking. The world is changing, and having employees who can juggle multiple tasks with multiple departments is now important.”
Laurie Adams
Born and raised in Ohio, Laurie gained her bachelor’s degree in journalism from The Ohio State University. For several years, she worked and lived in California as a marketing executive and wine columnist for a paper in San Diego County.
Her 20-plus years of sales and marketing will be vital to the sales department team within CMG. Laurie will oversee the advertising for Tri-Village Magazine, assist with sales for CityScene Magazine and work on generating ad revenue for annual publications produced by CMG.
“I have worked from my home for several years, so readjusting to an office setting while also working in the field with clients and getting to know the surrounding communities will be exciting,” Laurie says.
Laurie now resides in Westerville, and has a son who lives in San Diego studying art and photography. In her free time, she enjoys trying new recipes, wine tastings and pairings, entertaining and shoe shopping.
Lydia Freudenberg
Fresh out of college, Lydia graduated from The Ohio State University in May 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in public affairs journalism. Prior to this full-time position, Lydia was an inter and worked part-time at CMG with the editorial team. She also has experience in public relations writing and digital media.
As the first-ever brand loyalty specialist at CMG, Lydia will split her time between the sales department and the editorial team.
“This is my first, official full-time job that aligns with my degree, so I’m pretty excited,” Lydia says. “I’m happy to continue to write for the magazines while also learning the ins and outs of advertising within the world of publishing. I think working with the two departments will keep me on my toes and make work exciting.”
Lydia resides in Columbus, and loves everything Disney, true-crime, puzzles and almost any dessert that features chocolate.
