RECEPTION: Noves Històries, Ohio Art League 2016 Spring Juried Exhibition

Since 1910, Ohio Art League’s annual juried exhibitions showcasing contemporary work by Ohio artists have been the backbone of the organization's artistic programming. Noves Històries (Catalan for “New Histories”) recognizes the Ohio Art League's long and storied history and celebrates its recent resurgence. Featuring some of the most outstanding recent work from 40 Ohio artists, the exhibition is juried by Sophie Blais, Artist and Director of CAN SERRAT in Barcelona, Spain and Robert Banks, Experimental Filmmaker
The public is invited to a free closing reception, jurors’ talk and awards ceremony on Saturday, July 9 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., where an international artist residency at CAN SERRAT in Barcelona, Spain will be awarded to the best of show recipient. Other artist awards are the Mary Lou Chess Memorial Fund as well as the Renée and Edward Steidle Fund. Additional sponsors for the exhibition include the Columbus College of Art & Design, The Columbus Foundation, Greater Columbus Arts Council and Ohio Arts Council.
