Project Blues Review Brings Musicians Together to Fight Cancer

The 2016 Project Blues Review on Aug. 13 will bring together some of the country’s most renowned blues artists for a night of musical healing and transformative fundraising for LifeCare Alliance's Columbus Cancer Clinic.

This year, the event will feature a well-known roster of artists headlined by Booker T. Jones with Tom Holland and his band. For background, Booker T. Jones was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992, and was honored with a Grammy Award for Lifetime Achievement on February 11, 2007. Other artists performing at the event include: Anson Funderburgh with the Texas Horns, Jonn Del Toro Richardson (nominated for a 2017 Blues Music Award for best new album) and special guest, Koko Taylor Blues Music Award Winner Diunna Greenleaf.

The 2016 Project Blues Review will take place Aug. 13 from 4-11 p.m. at LifeCare Alliance Center, 670 Harmon Ave.

All proceeds from the benefit go directly to the LifeCare Alliance Columbus Cancer Clinic. Tickets for the event can be purchased at www.projectblues.org.
