The 2015-16 season of the New Albany Community Foundation’s Jefferson Series will feature a variety of nationally known individuals who have gained renown in their respective fields.
Held annually at the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts since 2013, this series was inspired by and named for President Thomas Jefferson’s love of learning. Each year brings a collection of forums on a variety of topics.

Mariel Hemingway
7 p.m., Oct. 13
Mariel Hemingway is known for her work as an author, healthy lifestyle brand entrepreneur and mental health awareness and suicide prevention program advocate. She released two books this year: her memoir, Out Came the Sun: Overcoming the Legacy of Mental Illness, Addiction, and Suicide in My Family and Invisible Girl.

Michael Sandel
7 p.m., Jan. 28
A professor at Harvard University, Sandel has taught political philosophy since 1980. Sandel has written several books, the most recent of which is What Money Can’t Buy: The Moral Limits of Markets.
Jon Meacham
7 p.m., May 11
A Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Jon Meacham is also the executive editor and executive vice president of Random House and a contributing editor to Time magazine. In addition to his prolific work as an author, Meacham has written for publications including The New York Times and The Washington Post. His most recent book is Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power.
David McCullough
7 p.m., June 8
An accomplished author, David McCullough’s has twice earned the Pulitzer Prize for his work, along with the National Book Award. Notable titles include Truman, John Adams and 1776, among others.
