City manager Dana McDaniel has announced a new human resources director for Dublin.
Homer Rogers, the new director, served in the Ohio Adjutant General’s Department as director of human resources from 2009 to 2015.
There he managed human resources for over 3,400 federal, state and military employees.
Prior to this, Rogers served as a Deputy Army Personnel Officer for the Ohio Army National Guard from 2005 to 2009.
Recently, he chaired a national-level committee for the human resources efforts of the National Guard in all 54 U.S. states and territories.
After 30 years of active duty military service, Rogers recently retired with the rank of colonel.
The Dublin human resources director manages the city’s recruitment and selection process, compensation system and the Dublin professional development initiative.
The director also manages city employee and labor relations including collective bargaining, the wellness and customer service programs, and oversees occupational safety, health administration and risk and insurance management.
