The smell of flowers, the summer breeze rustling through leaves, live music, original artwork—these are just a few of the things that make central Ohio lovely this time of year. Experience all of them with the WesterFlora garden tour this Sunday.
Garden tours allow patrons to travel from one beautiful residential garden to the next, all while enjoying a number of live musicians and artists stationed within the gardens. There are even treasure hunts within the various gardens with opportunities for prizes.
This year’s event is particularly significant, as WesterFlora is celebrating 25 years of outstanding garden tours. This silver anniversary spectacular is dubbed the “25th Celebration of Beauty” and is, as always, free of charge.
For the past three years, WesterFlora has been voted Ohio’s “Best Residential Garden Tour” by the Garden Club of Ohio. It consistently draws a crowd of approximately 500 to 800 people looking to enjoy the ambience of the gardens.
WesterFlora is also the perfect time to seek out inspiration for your personal garden. There’s the opportunity to see a variety of gardens coupled with the chance to ask a wide array of questions to perfect your own gardening skills.
The tour will feature 14 Westerville gardens, along with a collection of musicians and artists. Last year’s tour hosted a total of 60 musicians and singers who volunteered their time to perform in the gardens.
