Here is a roundup of some of our favorite strange Internet stories that have surfaced this past week.
Snatched-Up Bachelor
This past week, we had a story of a man who faked his own death to ditch out of getting hitched. This week, the story of a man who faked his own kidnapping to go partying without his girlfriend surfaced. The British man told his girlfriend that he was taken because he owed $82. She didn’t call his bluff and called the cops instead. He now has to pay for the resources spent trying to locate him.
Gym Class Claim
After shattering two bones in his leg during a company kickball game, a South Carolina man is now on worker’s comp. Initially, his claim was denied, but there was enough evidence to prove that Stephen Whigham had to partake in the outing. He has gone through two surgeries to help fix the injury he sustained trying to avoid getting tagged out.

Will Veer for Veal; Will Brake for Steak

Captive Display
The New Zealand town of Te Kuiti is having trouble harboring its prisoners, so it has created a sort of unintentional human zoo. The town is tiny, as is its municipal abilities, so when the courthouse is being used, prisoners are sent outside to a gated room for any passersby to gawk at.
And here's a dog that doesn't like it when you go through his phone.
