Actor and comedian Tom Arnold will take the stage at the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts for one night on June 25. The performance will benefit the Ohio chapter for After-School All-Stars (ASAS), a nonprofit organization that provides year-round programs after school.
Arnold is known for his roles in the 1994 film True Lies and as Arnie Thomas in the TV series Roseanne. He also hosted The Best Damn Sports Show Period for four years.
ASAS was founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the early ’90s, and Arnold became connected to the program through Schwarzenegger following their work together in True Lies. The program gives at-risk, low income elementary and middle school students a safe and fun place to go after school. ASAS Ohio is a leading chapter that serves over 750 students from eight Ohio schools. The programs consist of academic, enrichment and health and fitness activities and keep at-risk children away from the negative influences of gangs, drugs and violence.
Arnold’s performance will begin at 8 p.m. on June 25. Tickets start at $20 and are available through Ticketmaster or through the CAPA ticket office. VIP tickets include center stage seating plus a pre-show reception with professionally made cuisine and the chance to meet Arnold in person. All proceeds benefit the After-School All-Stars program.
