Whether you’re just looking to spend time outside enjoying the welcome change in temperature or you’re eager be surrounded by Westerville’s best in food, shopping and entertainment, Mount Carmel St. Ann’s 4th Friday is sure to satisfy.
The Westerville Visitors & Convention Bureau will present the first of six Mount Carmel St. Ann’s 4th Fridays: Uptown Alive! on Friday, April 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. between Home and Winter Streets in the Uptown District.
Be sure to mark your calendars for the fourth Friday, not just the last Friday, of each month this season, as April, July and September each have five Fridays this year, WVCB Executive Director Jeff Hartnell notes.
In addition to Uptown merchants keeping their doors open until 9 p.m. or later, attendees will be able to browse the wares of more than 100 vendors and enjoy food from Uptown restaurants and local food trucks.
Live entertainment will be in several locations throughout Uptown. The Eric Ransom Band will perform on the AAA Ohio Auto Club Music Stage at the corner of N. State and E. Home Streets.
The Arts Council of Westerville will feature musical performances in both the Municipal Building Courtyard and Arts Alley in front of Hanby Elementary School. Generations Performing Arts Center and Excel Martial Arts will be among the performers.
This year, the Westerville Puppet Posse will return to entertain the children. The Westerville Public Library will hold story times at Amish Originals Furniture from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Westerville Visitors & Convention Bureau Kids Corner at E. College Ave. will feature bouncy houses.
Attendees are encouraged to ride bikes and leave them in a free, secure bike corral on W. Main Street provided by the Westerville Bicycle Club.
