More than 1 million people are living with kidney disease in Ohio alone. Because kidney disease may be asymptomatic until the kidneys begin to fail, millions of people are unaware that they are living with damaged kidneys.
The National Kidney Foundation is dedicated to combating the issue by increasing availability of all organs, raising awareness and improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by kidney disease. Cooking with the Stars’ aim is to raise money to provide awareness, prevention and treatment to those affected by kidney disease.
