Presented by CAPA, and brought to the state’s capital by the Nebraska Theatre Caravan, the family-friendly play will hit the stage at the Palace Theater on Nov. 27 at 7:30 p.m., and on Nov. 28 and 29 at 2 and 7:30 p.m.
A Christmas Carol has been a CAPA annual tradition for more than 30 years, showing audiences how the greedy, cold-hearted, Christmas-despising Ebenezer Scrooge learns to enjoy the holiday and show his Christmas spirit after he takes a journey with three ghosts through his past, present and future.
The show will depict 19th century London, recreating both the luxury and poverty of the time,
and will include the book’s memorable characters. Not only will audiences see Scrooge and the three ghosts, but also the creepy ghost of Scrooge’s old business partner Jacob Marley, Scrooge’s current underpaid clerk Bob Cratchit and the lovable Tiny Tim.
This classic, based off the Charles Dickens novel of the same name, will feature an ensemble of musicians and actors, who will perform more than 20 Christmas melodies, including Away in a Manger, Here We Come A-Wassailing, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Good King Wenceslaus and more.
Tickets for the show range from $22-$32, and can be purchased at the CAPA Ticket Center, at all Ticketmaster outlets, by calling either 614-469-0939 or 1-800-745-3000, or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
