No two musical tastes are exactly alike.
Some people might enjoy listening to a Blues Hall of Fame member, others might prefer to watch in awe as Chinese acrobats show off their skills, and still others might want to hear current and former American Electric Power (AEP) executives jamming to some rock and roll. All of these things and more can be found at the Rhythm on the River concert series this summer.
The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department hosts Rhythm on the River each year, inviting various musicians and dancers to perform at the Bicentennial Park Performing Arts Pavilion, located on the picturesque Scioto Mile. The 2015 series will feature 10 outdoor concerts; performers will have a wide variety of styles and backgrounds, so there will be something for just about everyone.
The concerts are free to attend, but for those who would like to enjoy a delicious meal to go along with the music and the great view, Donatos pizza will be sold along with beer, soft drinks and water. Refreshments will be available before each performance, starting at 6:30p.m.
This year’s series will take place from June until early September, with bluegrass bands Blue Highway and Strung Up kicking it off on Friday.
