ProMusica teams up with internationally recognized pianist Martina Filjak from Croatia to perform as guest musician in two April concerts entitled The Romantic Piano. Music director David Danzmayr will lead the orchestra in an additional presentation of Franz Schubert’s First Symphony. The show will be presented on Saturday, April 16 at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 17 at 7 p.m. at the downtown Southern Theatre.
“Martina is magnificently talented, and David has a knack for introducing us to soloists who have impressive careers in Europe but have not yet performed in Columbus. We look forward to welcoming her,” says executive director Janet Chen.
Traveling all over the world, Martina has received praise for her incredible musical talents. She has won numerous awards over the course of her career, including the Gold Medal, the 1st prize and the Beethoven prize at the Cleveland International Piano Competition in 2009. Her work has been deemed beautifully poetic and demonstrating a technical mastery of music.
Tickets are available to any regular season concert for $12 to $50. ProMusica also offers subscription packages, which range from $62 to $270. Both subscriptions as well as single tickets are available through the ProMusica office at 614-464-0066 or online at ProMusica’s website. Tickets are all available on Ticketmaster.
