Picnic with the Pops is back for the 33rd season on June 17 with a new assortment of eccentric entertainers that will grace the stage alongside the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
All summer long, Picnic with the Pops will be a chance to gather friends and family for a night of outdoor live music at the Columbus Bicentennial Pavilion in the Columbus Commons. Patrons may bring their own food and beverages to enjoy with the music, or they can purchase food from the on-site vendors.
The 2016 season kicks off Friday with Ch Ch Ch Changes — A Symphonic Tribute to the Music of David Bowie. This will be a collaboration performance with Changes, a six-piece tribute band, and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
Saturday will feature the dynamic folk band the Indigo Girls, composed of duo Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. Also to follow this summer are artists such as Melissa Etheridge, Nelly and more. All performances feature the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
General admission tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for ages 3-14. Children 2 and under are free. They can be purchased at the Rich Street and State Street entrances to the Columbus Commons on the night of the show. Tickets are also available in advance at www.PicnicWithThePops.com.
There are also tables and single seats at tables available for purchase. Catering for the tables can also be purchased upon request. For more information on tables call 614-469-0939.
Picnic with the Pops performs rain or shine, but in the event of severe weather the event may be delayed if necessary.
