The Lincoln Theatre is bringing new meaning to the phrase “an intimate concert setting” with their Backstage at the Lincoln concert series. Concertgoers are given the pleasure of sitting right on stage with the musicians. If you didn’t have the opportunity to go to one, now is your chance. Three additional concerts have been added to the series.
This smaller concert setting means limited seating, so get your tickets soon.
The first addition will be held on January 22, featuring Paisha Thomas and Ingram Street. Thomas is an experienced performer with a background in gospel singing. Her style promises to meld well with the R&B and pop fusion of duo Woody and Minquel Ingram. Ingram Street has released two singles. The two are also anticipating the release of their LP, Escapism.
The second addition, on March 5, is jazz vocalist Debra James Tucker. Tucker’s resume speaks for itself, having performed with numerous jazz musicians and clubs, and receiving several prestigious awards. For jazz enthusiasts, she is surely a performer that shouldn’t be missed.
Finally, Columbus native Adria Shahid will be bringing her music to the Lincoln on April 16. Shahid has performed around the US and internationally, with her self-written songs about her life. Her neo-jazz style is full of soul.
Concerts begin at 7 p.m., and cost $10 each. Tickets can be purchased through CAPA, Ticketmaster or at the door.
