
The Columbus Symphony Orchestra recently selected three members as winners for the 2014 Music Educator Awards.
Linda Price Huff, Eric Kauffman and Richard J. Suddendorf received the honors for their efforts to make a positive impact in the community, teachings that went beyond the call of duty and outside the classroom and their everyday dedication to music education.
Huff is a general music teacher at Scioto Elementary School. Kauffman is a vocal music director at Upper Arlington High School. Suddendorf is a music director and conductor for Westerville Community bands.
The winners will each receive musical education grants, worth $2,500, to be used how they see fit. They will be awarded the grants March 2, at 12:30 p.m. during an awards brunch at the Westin Hotel.
