Looking to liven things up in your garden? Head to the annual German Village Garten Club’s GartenMarkt May 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m for a day of food, flora and fauna for everyone, just in time for Mother's Day.
The event features vendors offering perennials, annuals, as well as unusual plants, including tropical blooming plants, unique succulents and heritage seeds. Other vendors will sell jewelry, glass, wood and metal home décor, photography and other mediums of art.
Pre-orders are available and are open until April 25. Options for pre-order include returning favorites geraniums, bedding begonias, caladiums, dragon wing begonias and accent and trailing plants. New this year are New Guinea impatiens and Angelonias.

A portion of plant sales goes to support the Third Street Planters that line German Village and Frank Fetch Park.
“Jazz and Juleps,” the club’s preview party, will be hosted Friday from 7 – 9 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made at www.germanvillagegartenclub.com.
The German Village Meeting Haus is located at 588 S. Third Street in German Village.
