Alternative country singer-songwriter Lydia Loveless will give Dublin something to love when she plays the outdoor amphitheater at Scioto Park.
Loveless is set to perform 7 p.m. on May 28.
Her free show is part of the Dublin Arts Council’s Sundays at Scioto summer concert series, and will showcase Loveless’ unique musical style that combines country music with alternative and punk.
Loveless was named one of “10 New Artists You Need to Know” by Rolling Stone magazine in January of 2014 and one of “Five Best New Artists for January 2014” by SPIN magazine. Her song “How Many Women” was featured in the seventh season of the television series Sons of Anarchy.
She currently lives in Columbus. Loveless spent her childhood living near Coshocton. The 24-year-old musician has released three albums and one extended play since 2010.
Concertgoers can bring blankets, lawn chairs, pets, food and drink to the amphitheater. There will also be a food truck and a dessert provider at the show, and a portion of the sales money that goes to these food vendors will benefit the concert series.
