Are you tired of waiting in long lines at crowded department and retail stores while shopping for holiday gifts, only to see generic presents sit on a shelf a week after being opened?
If so, then consider visiting Gifts of the Craftsmen, the Ohio Craft Museum’s 17th annual holiday sale.
Gifts of the Craftsmen, which will run from Nov. 6-Dec. 23, presents handcrafted and one-of-a-kind gifts from nearly 100 artists across the country.
Those that visit and shop at the nearly two-month-long sale can expect to find a number of different holiday themed gifts, including beautiful glass ornaments and unique greeting cards.
If you’re looking to buy something more suitable to year-round use, Gifts of the Craftsmen is still the place to shop. Available gifts include leather accessories, stunning jewelry, pottery and hand-knit hats and scarves.
The Ohio Craft Museum showcases five major exhibitions each year along with various focus exhibits and educational workshops for all ages.
The museum’s next exhibit, which will be on display from Feb. 5 through Mar. 26, 2017, will showcase James Mellick’s signature wood pieces and feature an installation of Wounded Warriors Dogs, where each dog represents the injuries their human companions suffer in battle.
As a program of Ohio Designer Craftsmen, the museum’s vision statement is “to be recognized as a leading local, regional and national catalyst for the advancement of fine craft and those who create it.”
The Ohio Craft Museum is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, and is located at 1665 W. Fifth Ave. For more information about Gifts of the Craftsmen, click here or call the Ohio Craft Museum at 614-486-4402.
