For the first time in 19 years, top country music artist Garth Brooks will perform in Columbus.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has certified Garth Brooks as the top-selling solo artist in U.S. history with 136 million albums. He is also the fastest-selling album artist in RIAA history and the only solo artist to have six albums reach the 10 million mark. When his recent boxed set, “Blame It All On My Roots” debuted at #1, it marked the 13th time Brooks achieved this ranking.
After amazing success, Brooks announced his retirement in 2001, delivered his last record for Capitol Records and moved back to Oklahoma to raise his three daughters.
However, in December 2013, after a wildly successful handful of Las Vegas performances, Garth surprised fans on Good Morning America by announcing his return to touring in 2014.
The Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood made its US debut in Chicago in September 2014. Since then, Garth has broken records in nearly every city he’s played.
Three new shows were recently added to his performance schedule in Columbus. Tickets are available for all three days of the weekends of April 15-17 and April 22-24.
The show will be at the Schottenstein Center. Accompanying Brooks is his wife, three-time Grammy Award winner Trisha Yearwood. Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster or by phone at 1-866-448-7849 or 1-800-745-3000.
