The Kent Stage
A storm is coming to Kent – and part of that storm will be a Gaelic storm.
The musical group Gaelic Storm will be performing at the Kent Stage as part of the Kent Folk Festival at 8 p.m. June 11.
The band is known for bending musical genres, attracting fans of traditional Irish music, traditional Scottish music and Celtic rock.
Gaelic Storm made an appearance in the film Titanic as the band playing “An Irish Party in Third Class” in the lower deck of the ship.
The five most recent albums the band has released have all reached the top spot on Billboard’s world music charts, including an album which is a largely compilation of earlier songs.
Ticket prices for the show will range from $28.50 to $30.50.
The storm will not be strong enough to keep away a high-flying bird like Don Felder. The former guitarist of The Eagles will be performing 8 p.m. June 13 at The Kent Stage.
Felder co-wrote and played guitar on the band’s famous song “Hotel California,” and is known for playing guitar on well-known songs by The Eagles including “Already Gone,” and “One of These Nights.”
He was a member of The Eagles when the band released albums “On the Border,” “One of These Nights,” “Hotel California” and “The Long Run,” was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and became a New York Times bestselling author for his memoir Heaven and Hell: My Life in The Eagles.
Ticket prices for this show range from $38 to $54.
