New this year at Columbus’ biggest Oktoberfest celebration are a comedy show presented by the Columbus Funny Bone; a number of competitions, including a stein hoist and a yodeling contest; and a new Glockenspiel Entertainment Stage, which works like a giant cuckoo clock and features mini performances. 4. The Presidents Cup (Oct. 1-6)

For the first time ever, Dublin hosts The Presidents Cup, a showdown between the best U.S. and non-European golfers. An opening ceremony is slated for 5-9:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 at Columbus Commons, featuring an international food and entertainment festival and a concert by Rascal Flatts.
