St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church brings the Nile to Columbus for the 22nd annual Egyptian Festival this weekend.
The festivities begin Aug. 26 and goes through Sunday.
Experience fine authentic Egyptian cuisines and tasty dessert pastries. Pick up a cookbook in Cleopatra’s kitchen, or check out some of the other souvenirs such as mugs, jewelry and artifacts.
Attendees can find more souvenirs at the Coptic Christian bookshop. Explore or relax with friends while listening to the live Egyptian music. The festival will also have a spot to have your name printed in hieroglyphics on authentic papyrus.
The Egyptian Festival is, of course, family-friendly with carnival games, crafts and face painting. Head on over to Tut’s Camera Studio to dress up in Egyptian garb for great souvenir photos you can take home.
The Egyptian Festival will be held at St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church, located at 200 Old Village Rd. in Columbus. Bring family and friends to see all the culture and fun for yourself.
