The time has come. The details are arranged, the floats are being prepared, and the Grand Leprechaun has been chosen for Dublin’s 2013 St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Dublin resident Capp Clegg will preside over the Greenest, Grandest St. Patrick’s Day Parade as this year’s Grand Leprechaun. His many duties include leading the parade and judging the parade float contest.
According to former Grand Leprechaun Marjorie Amorose, Clegg’s commitment to Dublin’s community and his many volunteer activities made him clearly deserving of the honor. Clegg owns and operates Columbus Financial Concepts, a financial planning firm in Dublin, but he is more than just a business owner. His numerous volunteer efforts include the Dublin Irish Festival, Halloween Spooktacular, and Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Independence Day Parade.
The parade begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 16 at the Metro Center and will end on Historic Dublin. Festivities will be going on all morning, including an Inflation Celebration, a performance from The Hooligans, and the Dublin Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast.
