
The Columbus Symphony is set to close their Masterworks 2012-2013 season with a Fantastic Finale.
The program will begin with Bach’s Es ist Genug (“It is Enough”) from Cantata No. 60 and Ach arme Weld from Brahms’ Three Motets, both featuring The Ohio State University Chorale, followed by Berg’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, and concluding with Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique.
Acclaimed violin soloist, Vadim Gluzman (featured artist) will perform the haunting concerto by Alban Berg. The Israeli violinist comes to Columbus after traveling the world, performing with various major orchestras.
The Columbus Symphony presents Fantastique Finale at the Ohio Theatre on Friday and Saturday, May 3 and 4, at 8pm daily. Tickets are $25-$65 and can be purchased at the CAPA Ticket Center, through TicketMaster or by phone at (614) 228-8600 or (800) 745-3000.The Ohio Theatre Ticket Office will also be open two hours prior to each performance.
