Experience fine art, music, dance, poetry and more this June during the Columbus Arts Festival.
Presented by Time Warner Cable and produced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council, this festival will celebrate its 52nd year on June 7, 8, and 9 downtown on the Scioto Mile.
There’s something for everyone at this festival, which is free and has been rated by AmericanStyle and Sunshine Artist magazines as one of the top festivals in the nation.
Check out the Emerging Artist Program, which promotes central Ohio artists new to presenting their work at festivals.
There’s also the Big Local Arts Tent, featuring local artist collectives who will present a make and take demonstration.
Performers in dance, theater and music will put on a show as three stages highlight these arts throughout the festival.
If food’s your thing, the festival partnered with Dine Originals to showcase local restaurants.
Children will enjoy the variety of hands-on activities, while also having the chance to meet the festival’s mascot, the Art Shark.
Be sure to join the Twitter scavenger hunt by following @tweetandgoseek to get clues to the location of more than 200 small collages hidden around Columbus. These collages are hidden now and are either redeemable at local restaurants or contain a certificate code to redeem arts and other prizes.
These are just some of the events taking place at the Columbus Arts Festival. Visit www.columbusartsfestival.org for more information, including a complete list of artists, entertainers, stage schedules and activities.
