Country music star Clay Walker will take to the stage July 22 for the 2016 Summer Concert Series at Eldorado Scioto Downs. Joining Walker as a special guest is the country duo Love and Theft.
Walker is a multi-platinum country music star who has been continually performing and recording since his debut, self-titled album premiered in 1993. Walker was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1996, but has continued to perform regularly, even gaining a reputation for his high-energy concerts. Walker also founded the Band Against MS foundation and has helped raise up to $5 million for the cause. Walker has had four RIAA Platinum albums, two certified gold albums and 11 No. 1 singles. He recently released his newest single, “Right Now.”
Comprised of singer-songwriter-guitarists-frontmen Stephen Barker-Liles and Eric Gunderson, Love and Theft is one of country’s hottest young acts. The band has made a name for itself with songs such as the Top 10 hit “Runaway” and “Angel Eyes,” which reached No. 1 on the country charts. With the success of its first two albums, World Wide Open and Love and Theft, the band was nominated three years in a row for Vocal Duo of the Year at the Country Music Awards. Its most recent album, Whiskey on My Breath, was released in February 2015.
Walker along with Love and Theft performs Friday, July 22. Doors open at 7 p.m. before the show’s start at 8 p.m. VIP guests may enjoy the VIP party beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Ticket prices begin at $20. The show is rain or shine and audiences must be 21 and older.
