The series is tied at two games apiece and so the Blue Jackets will head to Pittsburgh to try and get one step closer to their Stanley Cup dreams.
But they’re not the only ones going to the city for the game.
Countless fans – both for the Pens and the Blue Jackets – are making their way to CONSOL Energy Center and, while a fanatic is there, they may as well make the most of their trip.
Below are five Pittsburgh restaurants near the arena hockey fans, of both sides, should visit. (And if anyone knows good food, it’s the fans from Columbus!)
Blue Line Grille
This uptown comfort food eatery is located adjacent to the CONSOL Energy Center and makes for a great pre-game meal. Their menu is incredibly diverse – boasting pizzas, burgers, wings and cocktails. And if you eat a little too much, don’t fret because the game is just a short walk away.
“Our spectacular visual design and layout features sports memorabilia and an open dining atmosphere.

Red Ring
If you’re looking for great quantity and quality with a small-portioned price, the Red Ring has you covered. Stop in for Buffalo Mac and Cheese, Cajun Chicken Alfredo and their signature grilled cheese, with gouda, red onion marmalade and basil-red pepper mayonnaise. And what trip would be complete without a taste of the “Two-Handed Monster” – two ½ lbs patties, cheddar, egg, coleslaw, avocado and chipotle ranch.
“We’re committed to providing fresh, local, made-from-scratch foods that appeal to both your appetite and your budget.”

Café Fifth Avenue
Club sandwiches, calzones and hoagies are the highlights of Café Fifth Avenue. Start your meal off right with chicken and black bean quesadillas and provolone moons. If you’re trying to keep full before the game, this is the place to visit.
“Hearty sandwiches, soon-to-be famous wings, creative salads, fresh dough pizza, calzones and much more.”

Steelhead Brasserie and Wine Bar
For the high-end fan looking to class it up a bit, The Steelhead will give you the experience you need. Their menu features pan-seared salmon with bamboo rice cake, grilled fillet mignon with garlic mushrooms and, for sharing, the delicious crab nachos.
