Those restaurants that retain a place in Columbus' history books despite having closed years ago are being given new life via a new dinner series.
The Historical Dinner Club, founded by Anne Evans and organized by the Columbus Historical Society, features the menu of a much-beloved, but now closed, local restaurant for one night only. The food is prepared by chef Alana Shock, and the dinners are hosted by her restaurant, Alana's Food and Wine, located in the University District.
The series kicked off with a Kahiki dinner on Oct 22. Next on the agenda is the Jai Lai, set for Jan. 21.
