
If you’re looking to take your artistic skills to the next level, or just looking to develop them from the ground up, check out the adult art classes at the Bexley Recreation Center.
Mixed media art classes begin Sept. 11 and continue each Wednesday until Oct. 16. This six-week course allows a student to delve into many different techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, collages, 2D and 3D art forms.
The standard charge for mixed media classes is $150 and $135 for seniors, ages 55 and over.
Beginning drawing classes start Sept. 3 and run each Tuesday until Oct. 8. This course helps aspiring artists develop basic skills, including shading, proportioning and texture drawing. Students will draw and compose from still life.
The standard fee for the beginning class is $113 and $101.70 for seniors.
Both courses are taught by instructors from Creative Art Studios.
