From March 20 to 29, BalletMet will present Edwaard Liang’s new production of Cinderella. Liang has attached new choreography to the classic Sergei Prokofiev ballet, and more than 100 dancers from the BalletMet Dance Academy, BalletMet, and BalletMet 2 will give the production life during its 10 day run.
In addition to the multitude of dancers, former soloist dancer with the National Ballet of Canada and English National Ballet Susan Dromisky will bring her years of experience to the role of the wicked step-mother. Dromisky is a veteran performer and the current Ballet Mistress at BalletMet, so her movement from the position of instructor to that of a leading dancer is a surprising twist.
