Auto demolition derbies, concerts and horse races are some of the events that are taking place
this week at the 165th annual Fairfield County Fair.
This widely popular, multi-day fair is currently taking place at the Fairfield County Grounds, 157 E. Fair Ave. in Lancaster. The fair continues through Oct. 17.
Each day consists of a wide variety of attractions, shows and activities that take place all throughout the day, with events for people of all ages. Additional attractions and events include rides, exhibits and truck, tractor and horse pulls.
Evening events on Wednesday include the Cross Pointe Concert and Taylor Chevrolet Truck & Tractor Pull.
Friday, known as Homecoming Day, Conagra Day and Lancaster Eagle Gazette Day, includes events such as the Auto Demolition Derby, which will cap off the night.
The final day, “Round Up Day,” is set to include events such as the new Fair Fun Run, a two mile run/walk at 8 a.m. The Junior Fair Horse Fun Show and another Auto Demolition Derby will top off Saturday’s events.
The gates open at 7 a.m. each day, and the fair ends at 10 p.m. There is a $5 admission charge at the gate for anyone over the age of 10, and children 9 years old and under are free.
