About the Campaign
The Wagnalls Memorial Foundation has created a charitable Giving Campaign in helping fund the preservation and operation of the century-old Wagnalls Memorial Library in Lithopolis. The library does receive public funding for its library collections but it relies heavily on donations to upkeep the operations of the historic structure. Thus, the campaign is designed to reach individuals and corporations interested in helping raise the library's goal of $200,000 within the next two years.
History of the Library
Originally built in 1925, the Tudor-Gothic-style library aligns with the Medieval Revival period and features unique architectural designs. It serves the Central Ohio counties of Franklin, Pickaway, Madison, Fairfield and Fayette. The library offers a large selection of titles, programs, classes and activities to it's 7,000 cardholders and local community.
