Here is a roundup of some of our favorite strange Internet stories that have surfaced this past week.
Tipping-Me Elmo
Posing with a street performer in New York is all fun and games until an aggressive Elmo comes out of left field and demands recompense for a photograph. The 37-year old costume-wearer, Rosa Sanchez, was arrested for aggressive solicitation after being ousted by a sting called Operation Sesame Street. A proposed law, if enacted, will require performers to get a license before making their not-so-honest living.

To De-Burgle and Birth
A pregnant Flint, Michigan woman was not about to have her purse stolen by the unarmed Mark Newton. As she loaded in her groceries, he snagged her purse, but she chased him down. He eventually pushed her to the ground, but then two bystanders jumped in and her family soon joined. They held Newton there until cops arrived. She gave birth later that day.

You can now keep your head down, as you play Clash of Clans or Candy Crush, without having to worry about those pesky other people disrupting your flow.

A Tampa, Florida entrepreneur has begun to spin dog hair into yarn because … why not? She has started a Kickstarter fund with a goal of $15,000 to help her design her first line of dog hair purses. Each purse will cost $1,000 until she finds cheaper methods of manufacturing.
