Lisa Braun of Dublin has received the Honor Pin from the Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland Council, an award given to volunteers who exhibit outstanding service in two or more Girl Scouts service-delivery areas. A Girl Scouts service-delivery area is an area of one or more counties organized under a council office - in Central Ohio, at least three counties are in an area, with the exception of Franklin County, which is itself a service-delivery area.
Braun’s current involvement in Girl Scouts includes her position as Service Unit Manager in Dublin and leadership of two troops. She is director for day camp at the Ken-Jockety Girl Scouts camp and serves her council as facilitator of volunteers.
Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland serves more than 24,715 girls and 4,769 adult members in 30 counties, including Franklin, Delaware, Union, Madison, Wyandot, Crawford, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Ashland, Wayne, Holmes, Knox, Licking, Fairfield, Coshocton, Guernsey, Muskingum, Perry, Hocking, Vinton, Ross, Pickaway, Fayette, Highland, Adams, Pike, Scioto, Jackson, Adams and Gallia.
The Girl Scouts are a youth empowerment organization of more than 3 million members that places emphasis on community service, charity work and acquiring practical skills.
