On Nov. 1, Egypt celebrated the full opening of one of its most ambitious cultural projects ever, The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Cairo, with a dazzling light and music show. The $1 billion build, which took two decades to complete, is now the world's largest museum dedicated to one civilization, housing about 57,000 artifacts.
