The Breakfast Club tells the tale of five high school students who are forced to spend their day in detention. Though these students may believe that their high school hierarchy creates an enormous amount of difference between them, they soon learn to appreciate these differences. While the relationships that develop between the characters may seem unlikely due to their differences in social status, they are authentic none the less.
The famous and incredibly prolific director John Hughes is responsible for writing and directing several of Hollywood’s classic films of the last few decades, including Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, National Lampoon’s Vacation, and Home Alone.
