Couples looking for theatrical performances for Valentine’s Day weekend have their choice of two shows at Shadowbox Live.
Best of Burlesque and 50 Shades of Shadowbox are offered three nights, and both serve up romance in decidedly different ways.
This weekend there are two different shows to choose from on three different nights, all there
is to decide is which kind of sexy to see: naughty or nostalgic.
Rockin’ romp 50 Shades of Shadowbox provides two hours of sketch comedy and rock ‘n’ roll at 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. from Feb. 12-13.
For the nostalgia lovers, there’s Best of Burlesque, a two-hour show featuring the best classic burlesque dance and vaudeville comedy from the last three years of Shadowbox Live’s burlesque series. The sultry, funny, and evocative performances will be held at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Feb. 14.
Shadowbox Live’s cabaret seating is always available. But, for those looking for a more e private experience, all shows have a limited number of reserved tables for two available to purchase.
Patrons also have the opportunity to customize their experience with romantic elements including a long-stemmed rose, champagne, delectable plated desserts and even an upscale dinner banquet.
A non-profit performance ensemble, Shadowbox Live produces over 500 shows each year. Performances vary from sketch comedy, rock ‘n ‘roll, rock operas and traditional musicals, to drama and dance theater, all emphasizing the live experience.
