It’s tough to pass up an excuse to stroll through the Short North Arts District, especially during the Summer Sale event.
Once a year, businesses in the Short North collaborate to host special sales throughout the entire district. Beginning Friday, July 24, more than 50 businesses will offer deals and discounts. The event lasts through Saturday, August 1, but be sure to stop by the Sidewalk Sale on July 25 to get the lowest prices.
The Sidewalk Sale, taking place from 12-6 p.m. that Saturday, will have businesses offering their best deals of the event in addition to a Gallery Hop type atmosphere. A Summer Sale hub at Victorian Gate will offer prizes and giveaways as well as maps and information.
The Short North is a cultural gem of Columbus and the unique businesses and merchandise found there make the weeklong event different from typical sales.
On the north side shoppers will find deals such as 25% off select items at Out of the Closet, while the south end will feature up to 60% off at Global Gifts. Discounts will spread throughout the whole district—from 7th Avenue to Nationwide Boulevard—with other sales at businesses such as Yoga on High, Paradise Garage and Grandview Mercantile.
Businesses participating in the event will be clearly marked by bright yellow “Summer Sale” signs. These businesses will feature sale racks, exclusive hidden treasures and huge discounts.
The Summer Sale event is put on as a collaborative effort of businesses led by retailers in the Short North.
