UA 4th of July Celebration

From wake-up calls to the parade down Northwest Boulevard, from the Party in the Park to the fireworks grand finale at Northam Park, Independence Day activities exemplify UA’s community spirit. Parade begins at 9 a.m., fireworks at dark.

Music in the Parks

Movie in the Park

The city’s Parks and Recreation Department hosts movie nights at Thompson Park. The family-friendly movies are shown on the city's 24-foot screen and begin at dusk.

Grab your clubs and pack up the cart for this fundraiser golf outing to benefit the UA Special Olympics teams. $140 per golfer includes lunch.

17th Annual Lazy Daze of Summer Festival

Presented by the Grandview Heights/Marble Cliff Arts Council, the festival will feature food, music, art activities, business showcases, a silent auction and a Friends of the Library Book & AV Sale.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational

Nationwide presents the annual tourney, with a $775,000 purse this year, with the winner taking home almost $140,000. If you can’t catch the tournament live right here in Columbus, you can watch it on the Golf Channel, July 30-Aug. 2.

Concourse Gallery Exhibit Series – Ben Shahn

View the living and working conditions of Ohio during the Great Depression through the 1930s in a photographic exhibit by Ben Shahn. Reception is from 5-7 p.m. Aug. 30.

Inaugural Central Ohio Garden Tour

Presented by the professional landscapers of the Columbus Landscape Association, proceeds this tour (which includes many homes in UA) benefits the Ohio State University Medical Center.
