Westerville may have come in No. 15 in Money Magazine's 2009 list of "Best Places to Live," but it made it much higher on an online Facebook poll.

Westerville earned 3,449 fans from July 13 to July 30, making it the most popular small town in America among Facebook users, according to Money.

The push to accumulate Facebook fans was a collaborative effort between the City of Westerville and the Westerville Visitors & Conventions Bureau.

Westerville's "Best Place to Live" Facebook page continues to add fans even after the contest. As of Aug. 10, the page had 3,967 fans. Comments on the page are wide-ranging, from simple statements like "I heart Westerville" to business/restaurant recommendations to favorite activities in the area.
