Girls Like Us
By Sheila Weller
Award-winning journalist Sheila Weller presents a fabulous biography about three great pop musical icons. Seldom seen pictures will delight musical fans and punctuate the reader’s journey.

Home: A Memoir of My Early Years
By Julie Andrews
In this memoir, Andrews recalls her turbulent youth without any self pity. Her parents have separated, her mom has run off with another man, the German bombs flying overhead are keeping any peace at bay, but Andrews does her best to keep her wits about her. Fortunately, her singing talent is discovered early and developed, leading her to a life onstage with some of her era's most desirable leading men. A great holiday gift!

Christmas Grace
By Anne Perry
Always well received, Perry’s new Christmas story features Emily Radley, a character from her famous Victorian detective novels with Thomas Pitt. Emily travels to a lonely Irish town haunted by an unsolved murder in this tale of forgiveness that is filled with mystery and intrigue.

‘Tis the Season
By Lorna Landvik
Best-selling author Landvik has written a new holiday tale about a 26-year old named Caro who behaved badly and wants to live a better life. A reunion with two dear friends just before Christmas brings unexpected revelations and, eventually, good tidings and joy.

Unaccustomed Earth
By Jhumpa Lahiri
Jhumpa Lahiri’s latest volume of short stories, written in engaging prose, explores the lives of Bengali immigrants. As always, the author’s fresh voice affords the characters universal appeal. These narratives haunt the reader who, as with Lahiri’s previous books, will wish for more.

When We Were Romans
By Matthew Kneale
A young boy narrates this novel of a family trying to start a new life after divorce. The author gives a powerful-yet-understated portrayal of the tragedy of mental illness. If you liked The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon, give this a try.

The Likeness
By Tana French
Detective Cassie Maddox of the Dublin Ireland Police returns from Tana French’s first novel, In the Woods, to find herself in the middle of a new murder investigation. She is working undercover, playing her doppelganger and alter ego, Lexie Madison. This book is even more bizarre, dark, and disturbing than In the Woods. If you enjoy psychological suspense, this is a must read.

Brass Verdict
By Michael Connelly
Once again Michael Connelly has written a fast and compelling read. When former colleague Jerry Vincent is murdered, attorney Mickey Haller unexpectedly inherits his profitable law practice and a high profile client, Walter Elliot. Elliot is accused of murdering his wife and her lover. Harry Bosch is the detective assigned to find Vincent's killer and uses Haller as bait. Haller and Bosch realize they must join forces if they want to solve either crime.
