Wake Up Call
Meg Wolitzer graces Thurber House schedule

On March 11 at 7:30 p.m., at the Columbus School for Girls, 56 S. Columbia Ave., Thurber House Evenings with Authors will present Meg Wolitzer, bestselling author of seven novels, including Sleepwalking and The Wife.

She will read from her latest novel, The Ten-Year Nap. One of her earlier books, This Is Your Life, was made into the Nora Ephron film, This Is My Life.

Wolitzer’s fiction often uses humor as a means to focus on women and the variety of issues and ambitions, choices and dynamics facing them. In The Ten-Year Nap, Wolitzer depicts the lives of four middle-aged friends in New York City who, 10 years after opting out of careers to become stay-at-home moms, have fallen into a “slumber” and are beginning to wonder if they made the right choice.

Following the reading, Wolitzer will take questions, chat with the audience about her writing and sign books that will be available for purchase. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door, with discounts for students and seniors. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 614-464-1032 or visit www.thurberhouse.org.
