Violet Festival Shines On
Entertained Thousands with Good Music, Great Food and Plenty of Family Fun
For the 13th year, Pickerington rolled out its “purple carpet” and welcomed thousands of visitors to its acclaimed Violet Festival. The festival, held from July 28 to 31, offered an impressive lineup of live entertainment and family events that attracted between 30,000 and 40,000 people to Victory Park in Pickerington.
 
The festival included musical on-stage performances each night with local bands featured on Wednesday night, Christian bands on Thursday followed on Friday with an appearance by LoCash Cowboys who offered a high-energy Southern rock show including a rendition of “Purple Rain” that fired up the crowd.
 
Throughout all four days, the family-centered festival offered a kids area, filled with arts, crafts and games, midway carnival rides and a beer garden featuring purple beer.
