Westerville residents can kick off their holiday season right Nov. 28 with Home for the Holidays in Uptown Westerville.

The celebration begins at noon and runs until 8 p.m. on State Street in uptown. Family-friendly activities are the focus of the event. Expect Santa sightings around uptown throughout the day, as well as strolling carolers dressed in period costumes from noon to 4 p.m. Jimmy V's restaurant will spotlight an ice sculptor on its patio from 4 to 8 p.m., and revelers can catch a carriage ride at Rotary Park from 5:30-7-:30 p.m.
