Fresh A.I.R. Gallery
Admission, by Jennifer Eisenhauer, Ph.D., will be exhibited at the Fresh A.I.R. (Artists in Recovery) Gallery from May 7-30. Opening reception is Wednesday, May 7, from 5:30-7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Fresh A.I.R. Gallery is located at 131 N. High Street, at W. Long and High Street, downtown.

Admission traces the intersections of the historical and contemporary experiences that come to define a person’s identity as a mental health consumer, client, and/or psychiatric survivor. “Through my artwork, I aim to construct situations that raise questions and result in conversations. I am interested in creating interconnected and intertextual spatial experiences rather than a disjointed encounter of individual works exhibited side by side," says Eisenhauer.

Eisenhauer is an Assistant Professor of Art Education at The Ohio State University where she teaches courses related to social and cultural issues in art and education.

Hayley Gallery

Bill Meek is a highly creative and talented glass artist and, for the very first time in Ohio, he will be showcasing his unique work at the Hayley Gallery, 45 Second St., New Albany.

The opening reception will be held April 26 from 7-9:30 p.m. with wine, champagne and desserts by Emily's Edibles. The show runs through June 19.

Meek's 30-year career in creating unique glass art has earned him notable public and private collectors around the world, including the George Bush Presidential Library; Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, President of the Philippines; Tony Bennett - commissioned gift; and more.

"I try to ultimately create beauty and facination. Reflection and absorbtion of light and shadow. By fracturing and re-building, I take the glass through a growth process - a dynamic that tries to express the life within the material. I handle each piece, every inch, countless times," he says.
