UA resident Wendy Thomas joins Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption Board of Trustees

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption recently announced the election of Upper Arlington resident Wendy Thomas to its board of trustees for a three-year term.

Thomas is the daughter of Dave Thomas, founder of the Foundation and Wendy’s Restaurants. She is also the namesake for the national restaurant chain.

"We are so pleased to welcome Wendy," says Rita Soronen, executive director of the foundation. "The Thomas family has been involved with the foundation since its inception in 1992, and we are thrilled to have Wendy continue Dave Thomas’ legacy as an integral part of our board."

Thomas says she looks forward to serving on the board.

"I have seen first-hand the vital work being done by the Foundation," she says. "It's a wonderful opportunity to carry on my father's legacy and share his vision of a family for every child."

Wendy Thomas is a graduate of the University of Florida. She is a principal member of Thomas 5 Limited, a Columbus-based Wendy’s franchise group with more than 30 restaurants. She lives in UA with her husband and four children.
