Titanic Exhibit Sails Away
The landmark COSI exhibit ends Sept. 6
By Kylie Reynolds

In 1912, the illustrious RMS Titanic struck an iceberg in the icy northern Atlantic Ocean and tragically sunk, resulting in the loss of more than 1,500 passengers. Now almost one hundred years later, visitors to Titanic: The Artifact Exhibit at COSI can go back in time to experience the full journey the Titanic took, from construction to life on board to the ill-fated sinking.

Ending on Sept. 6 (Labor Day), the exhibition features a 3,000 pound section of the ship’s hull, recreations of both first and third-class accommodations, personal items of Titanic passengers and a simulated iceberg. Upon entering the exhibit, each visitor will also receive a replica boarding pass of an actual passenger that was aboard the fateful voyage.

The display, which is making its second appearance in Columbus, is the most visited exhibition in COSI’s history. This time around, the exhibit features more than 350 artifacts from the ship, including 100 never seen before in Columbus and 23 making their world debut.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to immerse in the history of the Titanic before the exhibit leaves Columbus once again. During this limited engagement exhibition, COSI is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12-6 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets cost $23.75 for adults, $21.75 for seniors and $16.75 for kids.
