Martina McBride to grace Columbus

Country music superstar Martina McBride brings her “Waking Up Laughing” tour to Nationwide Arena on Friday, Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office and through Ticketmaster.

McBride’s 2007 release, Waking Up Laughing, features the smash hit Anyway and the upbeat How I Feel. Destined to become another McBride classic, Anyway has garnered CMA award nominations for “Single of the Year,” “Song of the Year” and “Video of the Year.”

McBride’s powerhouse voice has earned her more than 16 million in CD sales, garnering six number ones and 22 top-ten singles including her signature hits Independence Day, Wild Angels, A Broken Wing and This One’s for the Girls.

Joining McBride on tour is Texas-born singer/songwriter Jack Ingram, whose current CD, This Is It, has spawned four consecutive national radio hits including the No. 1 single, Wherever You Are. Opening the show will be Nashville newcomers Lady Antebellum. The trio’s self-penned debut single, Love Don’t Live Here, has recently been released to country radio. An album is expected in early spring 2008.
